A fond farewell to Laos

The day has came, it’s time to say goodbye to the lovely Laos! Although brief, my time here has been sublime. What a divine place, what welcoming people, there’s not much more I can say… But I will 😉

I ended my visit in the capital; Vientiane. Although it was not so pretty as Luang Prabang, it did have its charms, including the eye opening COPE centre (read my last blog if you don’t know about UXOs).

Awash with temples, an Arc de Triumph (yes, really) and there was also a pretty awesome Buddha Park. I’m not too sure of its history, but it was created in the 50s and seemed like a place where lost statues found a home., oh a place for tourists to visit. We also got to visit the Lao Brewery and took advantage of the cheapest beer in Laos; well when in Laos… Cheers all!
