I’ve had a mixed bag with the quality of hostels so far, and I’m sure it’ll continue as I travel forth. However, how lucky was I to find this hidden gem? Think kitsch 50s, graffiti, art installations and jazz… What more could a gal want? This place rocks, just sorry to spend so little time here 😦
it even had Hairdryer; result!
This last pix leads me nicely onto the next post. I’m off to graffiti alley while it’s still light; street art Sao Paulo styleee will be with ya soon x
Great use of the word plethra( I know how it’s spelt).. Try and get Hithertounknown in to ya next post… Take care.X

Hey Tim, you good? Looking forward to tomorrow? Just re-read post, I thought you meant ladies parts; intotheunknown, lol!!!! I will bear it in mind and see if I can weave, where as appropriate x
Hello, I just wondered what the name is of this hostel? I am heading to SA in August, and this looks like an amazing place. x
Hi Amy
The hostel is Sao Paulo is the Vila Madalena Hostel and it was really cool. If you stay there, make sure you pop around to batman alley to see all the graffiti art too.
The Art Factory in San Telmo in BA was quite unique too and lots of fun.
If you visit Bolivia (my favourite country in SA), hostels there are sooo cheap that you can really splash out, even on a budget. I stayed in double room in a boutique hotel for just £32 a night!
If I can help with anything else, just shout.
Happy travels!
Wendy 🙂
